Course Outline
This course is designed around the principles of mastering essential skills, and their practical application in various terrains / types / forms. It is directed at preparing you, the rider, to ride over different terrains and get to the correct mindset to adapt to various scenarios.
This course is ideal for riders who wish to refresh their basic skills, as well as those needing to create a real understanding of applying basic off-road riding skills in varied off-road situations.
One-on-One Training can be arranged.
Prerequisites
The following is required to attend the course:
The student must successfully complete the Introduction to Adventure Riding – Level 1 course.
The student must be able to ride a motorcycle comfortably on normal roads and / or off-road terrains.
The student must have basic riding kit such as helmet, goggles, gloves, and proper ankle protection.
The Course Covers Aspects Such As:
Aspects of the Dual Sport Adventure (DSA) Level 1 course as well as:
– Basic tools and puncture fixing
– Uphill recovery
– Introduction to Sand Riding
– Riding in Rocky / Stony Areas
– Rut Riding and Water Crossings
– And more…..
The course is an essential element of any preparation for long solo or group dual purpose trips.
Duration
Saturday 07:00 for 07:30 am – 13:00 pm
Note
No spectators on the skills training track.
No Pillion whilst training is conducted.
Cost
R 1,350.00 per rider.
Maximum 8 persons per group.
Refreshments and a light lunch is included.
Accommodation
On-site accommodation in the form of B&B is available for your own cost. Details can be sent if required.
