
Introduction To Adventure Riding – Level 1
Course Outline
This course instils essential skills around effective use of controls, balance, emergency braking, basic up and downhill techniques and more. It prepares the rider for more advanced riding practices.
One-on-One Training can be arranged.
Prerequisites
The following is required to attend the course:
The student must be able to ride a motorcycle comfortably on normal roads and / or off-road terrains.
The student must have basic riding kit such as helmet, goggles, gloves, and proper ankle protection.
The Course Covers Aspects Such As:
– Bike theory: How to ride off-road and understand bike maintenance.
– Understanding balance and body positions.
– Mastering the primary controls: throttle, brakes, clutch, and gearing.
– Basic off-road riding skills, up and down hill techniques, and emergency braking.
– Essential rider controls and balance, basic sitting and standing positions.
People who master the techniques presented in this course become competent to progress to Dual Sport Adventure (DSA) Intermediate Adventure Riding – Level 2.
Experienced riders: This course refreshes and enhances existing rider skills.
Duration
Saturday 07:00 for 07:30 am – 13:00 pm
Note
No spectators on the skills training track.
No Pillion while training is conducted.
Cost
R 1,450.00 per rider: One-on-One training, refreshments and a light lunch is included.
Accommodation
On-site accommodation in the form of B&B is available for your own cost. Details can be sent if required.
